La fontaine est implantée sur une place côté gauche sur la D110 en provenance de Saint-Georges-en-Couzan (après avoir passé l'église et la Mairie côté droit), en face de la bibliothèque (sise au n° 3 place de la Fontaine). Il s'agit d'un robinet ressemblant à un robinet-vanne mais dans le style ferronnerie d'art, installé au-dessus d'un grand bassin en pierre, lui-même à côté d'un arbre buissonnant.
