Le robinet est fixé au-dessus d'un petit bassin en pierre immédiatement à gauche de l'entrée sur le site de la Chapelle Saint-Sulpice. Celle-ci est implantée à l'angle du chemin de la Chapelle et de la D18. Sur la D18 en provenance de Lentigny et en direction de Villerest, juste après avoir passé la maison de retraite "EHPAD St-Sulpice" côté droit, on devine la chapelle sur la gauche partiellement masquée par les arbres. Dans l'autre sens, la chapelle se trouve en haut de la côte, à 670 mètres du rond-point avec les directions de Villerest bourg, Roanne, Commelle, et Lentigny.
