La fontaine se situe sur la montée du col de Palomère, sur la gauche,entre les villages de Finestret et Baillestavy, entre les bornes 21 et 22, juste après le pont point côté 571m

Cette fontaine n'est pas très visible, principalement lorsque vous descendez. Comme point repère, une centaine de mètres avant la fontaine, la route passe par un virage à droite très serré, taillé dans la roche, avec sur la gauche une pancarte sur la protection des salamandres faite par les élèves du village. De l'eau fraiche toute l'année.....
